Het Loo Royal Estate, which consists of the Palace Park and Royal Forest, lies west of Apeldoorn in the Netherlands. It is a landscape of extensive forest and heaths. For over 300 years the area has been closely linked with the Dutch Royal Family, the House of Orange-Nassau. It is this association with the Oranges that has shaped the estate as we know it today: an estate of over 10,000 hectares with a rich cultural heritage, great biological diversity and much beautiful landscape.
