Amersfoort

22/7/2015

To celebrate the birthday of my wife we went to the old city centre of Amersfoort.
I pass Amersfoort regularly by train and when I see the Koppelpoort I always intend to go there one day.
It is only 20 train minutes away from my home town and with one free train ticket to use a perfect opportunity to go there.

The old town centre of Amerfoort is actually very nice with a lot of nice narrow streets, old houses, a few canals and also a lot of shops. For a drink and a bite there are a lot of bars and restaurants on several nice old squares.

Unfortunately the weather was grey and boring for photography this day.
But as it was my wifes birthday I promised not to spend too much time on taking pictures...
Which gives me another reason to go again for a photowalk. I think it will be also a great city for some night photography.
