Finally snow (part 1 Hoog Soeren)

Finally we have snow this winter. Last December, the weekend just after Christmas, we had some snow but it did not stick in our area. This morning we had snow, but it was a race against the clock as the temperatures were expected to rise to +5 degrees celcius during day time. 

But where to go. As it was still snowing I decided to take the car and drive through the woods to Hoog Soeren and from there via Assel to Hoog Buurlo.

Hoog Soeren is a very small village in the municipality of Apeldoorn. The village is surrounded by the woods of the nature reserve Koninklijke Houtvesterij Het Loo.

Leaving Hoog Soeren and driving towards Halte Assel leads you through beautiful beech forests and heaths.
